Set just below the spot where the famous final scene from Out of Africa was filmed, &Beyond Bateleur Camp overlooks the endless spaces of the Masai Mara, providing guests with sweeping views of this quintessential African landscape. Nestled deep in a belt of dense riverine forest, each tent is secluded by lush green vegetation, carving out a private, leafy enclave for every guest.
When the dawn chorus of birds and monkeys begins outside, a gentle knock on the door brings a morning tray of steaming coffee. Step out of your elegant tented suited onto the private veranda outside and watch the bush around you come to life. The ensuite bathroom with its stone shower and warm wood furnishings prepares you for the day’s adventure. While away an hour or two in the deep leather chairs on the veranda, looking out onto the endless African plains. On a hot day, swap the shade of the forest for a dip in the sparkling lap pool.
Guest areas bring in the vast open spaces, adding a touch of vintage safari elegance. Intriguing antiques, hand-crafted artefacts and keepsakes of bygone times mingle with cushy sofas and polished leather chairs. &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp
Located in the remote Western Corridor of the Serengeti, Grumeti provides a private Serengeti experience with exclusive game viewing in some of the most secluded parts of Africa’s most famous game reserve. Its rustic yet sophisticated safari tents are tucked into the shade of an evergreen forest on the banks of a tributary of the famous Grumeti River. Black and white colobus monkeys chatter in the foliage and chase each other over the thatched roofs of the tented suites. A resident pod of hippo grunts and grumbles from beneath a layer of luscious green water weeds in the tranquil pool in front of the camp.
Game drives from the camp can expect to encounter large lion prides and clans of hyena up to a hundred strong, as well as the great herds of Tanzania’s annual Great Migration. Each year, the masses of wildebeest and zebra cross the waters of the Grumeti River, home to some of Africa’s largest crocodile, in search of fresh grazing grounds.

The camp is situated on a by-water of the Grumeti River, known for its dramatic wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. Tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests thrill to the antics of the resident hippo in the tranquil pool in front of the camp and the spectacular pied colobus monkeys, found nowhere else in the Serengeti.
Meals can be enjoyed on an extensive deck with beautiful views towards the river, while the dining area opens up to a traditional African boma, where dinner is served beneath a billion stars. Traditional fires known as jikos and outdoor ovens produce mouth-watering aromas, while the sounds of the African night provide a gentle backdrop to tales of the day’s safaris.
Intimate guest areas include open-fronted sitting and dining areas, as well as a domed bar, all adorned with beaded artefacts. The spacious decks are perfect for enjoying sundowners overlooking the river and the camp’s rim-flow swimming pool provides a view of the hippo-filled river below.

&Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas is a luxurious semi-permanent tented camp that moves around the Serengeti bringing guests within range of the massive herds of the Great Migration.
Using only private campsites, these mobile camps are entirely intimate and exclusive, featuring just nine spacious safari tents at each of its two campsites.

Perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills, &Beyond Klein’s Camp boasts magnificent views of an exclusive wilderness concession that borders the vast Serengeti plains.
The stone interiors of the guest areas open up to breathtaking panoramas, with open fireplaces to keep the chill away. Stone floors and deep leather armchairs invite you to while away the hours, with bound tomes and classic African memorabilia for company. Fine linen, silver and china sparkle in the candlelight in the open dining area.
Boasting one of the finest views in Africa, even the swimming pool at Klein’s Camp overlooks smoky views of distant hills. The camp also features a beautifully furnished bar and sitting area and a Safari Shop that features locally-made Maasai crafts.
Fresh vegetables picked from the camp’s shamba, or organic African garden, are used to create wholesome dishes. Dinners are served in the main dining area, which is graced by a large open fireplace.

Divided into three camps, 30 stilted suites with banana leaf ceilings and grass roofs provide an intimate and exclusive Crater experience.
