The Mana Shoreline Walking Safari is a luxurious mobile camp where you leave camp with the sunrise and leisurely walk your way to the next camp. Arriving at the next camp you will find an ice cold drink, hot shower and dinner being prepared. This Safari on foot allows you to experience the wonders of nature from the tiniest insect to the mighty elephants that roam the valley. This 3 night, 4 day safari follows the Zambezi River through the Mana Pools National Park. Walking begins near the confluence of the Ruckomechi River and Zambezi River and continues along the Mana Pools shoreline to Illala Camp across from Chikwenya Island in the Mana Pools ‘Wilderness Area.’

The Mana Shoreline Canoe Safari is a luxurious mobile camp where you leave camp with the sunrise and leisurely canoe your way to the next camp. Floating into camp with the sunset you will find an ice cold drink, hot shower and dinner being prepared. This 3 night, 4 day safari follows the Zambezi River through the Mana Pools National Park. Canoeing offers guests a unique way of viewing game, you can glide up to elephants crossing the Zambezi and watch game coming down to the Rive to drink. Canoeing begins near the confluence of the Ruckomechi River and Zambezi River and continues along the Mana Pools shoreline to Illala Camp across from Chikwenya Island in the Mana Pools ‘Wilderness Area.’

The Zambezi Classic Long it the longest safari Natureways has to offer lasting 10 days and 9 nights it stretches over 2 National Parks, 4 designated sections of the Zambezi and covers 230 km, each day an average of 23 km will be paddled. The safari starts 8 km downstream from the Kariba Dam Wall, guest will paddle 18 km out of the Kariba Gorge onto the River’s floodplains which offer unforgettable game sightings. The safari will take guests along the Mana Pools National Park shoreline which is a World Heritage Site which holds an abundance of game and about 380 bird species. Once past Mana Pools gests will canoe into the Mupata Gorge with its spectacular geographical features of red cliffs. The Zambezi Classic Long Safari allows guests to feel at one with nature and to capture the essence of Africa.

The Marula Safari starts 8km below the Kariba dam wall and ends in Chirundu covering a total of 59km from start to finish. The safari will travel 18km through the Kariba Gorge which is narrow and steep sided, after the Gorge the terrain opens up offering an abundant variety of birdlife and antelope, occasionally elephants and buffalo have be seen on this stretch of the river.

The Fisheagle Safari starts from Kariba, 8 km down stream from the Kariba Dam Wall and ends in Mana Pools National Park. The Safari travels 18 km through the Kariba Gorge after which the river opens up into the flood plains which are prolific in wildlife. Mana Pools National Park is a protected World Heritage Site. The Safari as a whole covers approximately 130 km from start to finish. Each day an average of 21.5 km will be paddled, however don’t let this daunt you, the current of the river will do most of the work for you so relax and take in the magnificent surroundings.

The Tamarind Safari is our most popular expeditionary safari beginning in Chirundu and ending in Mana Pools National Park, which is a World Heritage Site. The game seen on this section of the Zambezi is superb as the flood plains offer wildlife an extraordinary place to thrive in the parks sanctuary. The distance covered by this safari is 75 km allowing time take in the peace and tranquility of the truly untouched African wilderness.

The Mopane Safari begins in Mana Pools and explorers the shoreline of the National Park up to Chewore. The safari travels 70 km of the impressive Zambezi River. Mana Pools National Park is Zimbabwe’s second World Heritage Site and stretches across 2 000 km2 offering a ambiance which cannot be experienced anywhere else in the world. The Park is a full of game offering 380 bird species and numerous mammals including elephant, buffalo, lion and variety of antelope.

The Zambezi Classic Short will definitely get you into the sprit of an exploring pioneer. This 8 day, 7 night canoe safari covers 182 km of the mighty River all the way from the border town of Chirundu through the floodplains of the Zambezi and past the shoreline of Mana Pools National Park. Guests will then enter a 20 km stretch of amazing red cliffs called the Mupata Gorge. Guest will then end their safari a few kilometres on the other side of the Gorge at Kanyemba. The Zambezi Classic Short passes through many different ecosystems allowing guests to encounter all the different species of flora and fauna the Lower Zambezi has to offer. The safari allows guests the opportunity to really ‘experience the real flow of Africa.’
