Lodge Description

Overlooks a lively river lagoon
Wild dog den nearby
Great base for our Sleepout Under the Stars

One of the more historical safari camps in Zambia, Time + Tide Nsolo Camp is the quintessential 'barefoot luxury' experience. Nestled along the banks of the seasonal Luwi River, a permanent river lagoon attracts a daily parade of wildlife that guests can watch from their room's private deck.

With a design inspired by its intimate riverside setting, Time + Tide Nsolo welcomes guests into its comfortable rooms, which sit on raised wooden platforms and embody a cosy ambiance. The suites celebrate the beauty of the South Luangwa, each one offering views over the surrounding bush.

The Luwi River is renowned for its lion and wild dog population. Various lion prides use the dry riverbed as a thoroughfare and a means not only of locating their prey, but also their rivals who must be warned to stay away. There's no end to the action around camp!

There are few African experiences more exciting than heading out on a safari early in the morning to find the fresh tracks of the lions you heard calling all night. As you track them through the bush with hushed voices and beating hearts, your mind suggests there is a lion over every rise. This is big game viewing at its best.
