Tubu Tree lies on the western side of isolated Hunda Island, with easy access to diverse habitats and thus excellent game viewing. Activities include day and night game drives, and boating, seasonal fishing and mokoro trips during winter (generally May to late September).

Tubu Tree, as its name indicates, is built into the trees, with elevated wooden walkways connecting eight traditional-style tents on raised platforms, with picturesque views over the surrounding floodplains from a private deck. Each has an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower, while the family unit consists of two adjoining tents with separate bathrooms and a shared lounge. The main dining and lounge areas and pool are raised to maximise the vista across the floodplains, and an open bar area is shaded by a large marula tree. Hunda Island, on which Tubu Tree is situated, is known for its concentrations of game and offers both spectacular wildlife viewing on land, and tranquil adventures on the water. This combination of activities makes time spent at Tubu Tree a complete Delta adventure.

Wildlife seen around Tubu Tree includes elephant, lion, Burchell's zebra, red lechwe, southern giraffe, tsessebe, and blue wildebeest on the floodplains. Kudu, impala, bushbuck and leopard are also seen in the forested areas. The variety of birdlife is impressive, with dry-land species seen on the larger islands and a multitude of wetland birds seen on the floodplains and waterways.

Day and night game drives in 04 x 10-seater open 4x4 Land Rover. During winter months hot water bottles, and blankets are provided on activities.
Private activities available on request (subject to vehicle availability which needs to be booked and paid for) - note that the private vehicle at Little Tubu is shared with Tubu Tree.
Water-based activities in 10 x 2-seater mekoro, 01 x 6-seater and 01 x 12-seater boats (shared with Tubu Tree Camp; seasonal and water levels permitting).
Guided nature walks (seasonal and subject to the availability of a qualified walking guide, therefore pre-booking is essential).
Fishing - on a catch and release basis only, however, is prohibited by Botswana law in January and February due to breeding purposes.
Birding (internationally recognised IBA – Important Bird Area).
The Tubu Star-Bed is about a 20 minutes’ drive from camp (it is not the same platform used by Jao Camp). It can take a maximum of four guests, with the guide sleeping in a nearby tent. The platform is accessible throughout the year (weather permitting) and is equipped with a long drop toilet, radio, torch, bedrolls, mosquito nets and flasks of tea/coffee.
It is possible to do a sala sleep-out in the Honeymoon room at Little Tubu.

As its name indicates, this eight-tented traditional-style camp is set in the tree canopy on raised decks, with a
view of the open, grassy floodplain in front. The family unit has two adjoining tents, separate bathrooms and a shared lounge. The main area’s famous bar is shaded under the spreading boughs of a marula tree and the pool deck below affords uninterrupted views over the ever-changing plain. A Star Bed for sleep-outs is located 20 minutes from camp.
